Research Interest

Dr Meyer-Plath is well recognized for his expertise in safety aspects of chemically functionalized nanomaterials, and biological properties of chemically functionalized surfaces. His research also aims to the identification and quantification of functional chemical groups on polymer surfaces and carbon nanomaterials, the characterization of radical sites on polymer surfaces and carbon nanomaterials, the development of reference surfaces for functional group quantification, and the chemical surface functionalization of polymers, carbon materials, and nanoparticles.
